TOOL TECH 2018 in Korea

This is a report from Sales Operating Dept.

We went to Korea on a business trip with an aim to have meetings with our business partner in Korea as well as exploring new customers.

The main purpose of this trip was to support our client’s participation at this technological exhibition: TOOL TECH 2018 held in the suburb of Seoul from Oct. 30th through Nov. 2nd.

It was held at KINTEX, an exhibition facility, which is located in Dahua, 1 hour subway ride from the center of Seoul. This exhibition was among machine tool manufacturers such as cutting tools, diamond tools, etc. and was held for 4 days.

The venue was very modern and beautiful.

Another exhibition called, METAL WEEK 2018, was held at the same time, and was popular as well!

We promoted some Japanese cutting tools in cooperation with a local trading company there.

We had 7 to 8 business meetings per day.

The companies we had meetings already had vast knowledge about cutting tools and diamond tools.

So, they were very serious about finding a partner who will have the solution to their ongoing problems.

We could feel their enthusiasm for the tools with higher precision in order to improve themselves in developing better products!

The scale of the exhibition was not so glamorous, but the contents were very condense!

Our trip this time was very stimulating and worthwhile.

And, …. of course, close encounter with local meals!

We had very good foods this time as usual.

We had Korean BBQ ribbs at a very famous restaurant, which is hard to make a reservation.

Then, the next night, we had Korean BBQ hormon at another restaurant, which is hard to make a reservation.

Of course, we enjoyed ‘Bibimbap (mixed rice), Kimbap (Korean rolled rice), Toppogi (rice cake), and Tizimi (Korean pancake)’ as well.

Thanks to such feasts, my weight increased quite a bit.

I’d be happy if our orders from Korea also increase…

At any rate, our business trip this time again was a great one.
