A bullet biz-trip to Korea

This is a report from Sales Operations Department:

So, this is about another so-to-call, ‘ a bullet biz-trip ‘, which is becoming a regular event every year. It was the second one this year, and the destination was Korea.

July 9th (Mon) 19:00   Arrive Seoul

July 10th (Tue)  Meetings with 3 Korean companies (AM, PM, and at night).

July 11th (Wed) 12:00  Leave Seoul

Above was our travel agenda, and the duration of stay was 39 hours.

We stayed in Myeong-dong this time.

It took about 1 hour for us to reach the center of Seoul by AREX (Air Railway Express) from Incheon International Airport, then we changed trains to subway for 2 stations, and here we are in Myeong-dong.

We had to go to bed after arrival on the first night, because it was already late at night.

The 2nd day:

The first meeting was a breakfast meeting at a cafe in Myeong-dong.

The second meeting was a lunch meeting (blow fish cousine) in Dongdaemun.

Then, after the 3rd meeting, we were invited to a steak dinner!

The day passed by like a flash while having meetings and meals.

What we were dealing in Korea were cutting tools and metallic films.

We are exporting metallic films to Korea as in the image above every month.

This wide and large roll of film is cut into thousands of threads as thin as 0.1mm ~ 0.5mm by the special cutters (cutting tool) that we sell as well to create a new product (e.g., gold or silver metallic yarns).

These gold or silver threads are used to make metallic yarns, which are utilized for making Kimono in Japah, folkloric costumes overseas, or embroidered emblems in miliary, and so on.

Metallic yarns are also used to make glittering cloths, socks, cushions, etc., and have become one of the essential elements of the fashion industry.

They are mostly in high demand in Korea, India, Iran, Turkey, etc.

Time flew while we were being busy, it was time for us to go home before we knew it!

Mission completed ! …and a bear saw us off at the airport.

As Korea is so near from Japan, there’s hardly any difference between business trip to Tokyo and to Seoul, but it is tougher in the sense we always get stuffed with Korean foods by the hospitality of our customers while we are there in a very short period of time.

Still, we should only be grateful that we get such warm hospitality from our customers there.

Therefore, we look forward to our next couple of bullet biz-trips this year !
